On July 27, 2024, representatives from the Myanmar Rattan and Bamboo Entrepreneurs Association (MRBEA) attended the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) Implementation Workshop for the Forest Harvest Collective Mark (FHCM) organized by NTFP-Indo in Jakarta, Indonesia.

During the workshop, MRBEA representatives Mr. Kyaw Thu and Mr. Thaung Aye discussed “Rattan Factory Assessment” and “Current State of Rattan Production and Need Assessment in Myanmar.” Community representative Ms. Khine Phuu Wai (Semi-Finished Producer) presented on “Women’s Entrepreneurship and Empowerment in the Local Rattan Business,” while ICS representative Mrs. Khin Ohn Myint (Raw Material Collector) spoke on “Rattan Supply Chain and Control Systems.” Additionally, the Myanmar delegates visited PGS rattan factories in Cirebon, Indonesia
