Company Profile
Our founder U Kan Tun learned the handmade production of lacquerware at the age of 12 from his parents, lacquerware artisans. He went on to become a lecturer and an advisor at Lacquerware College Bagan, and TUN Handicraft became one of the most prominent lacquerware producers in Bagan. In 1977, U Kan Tun started a residence-based Lacquerware Workshop at his home in Bagan, giving tourists the opportunity to try their hand at making lacquerware. His personal ambition was to lead the sustainable development of lacquerware Handicraft in the Bagan region.
